The Mililani Trojans boys’ varsity, girls’ varsity, and girls’ junior varsity teams swept Pearl City last OIA Red Western Division Soccer played at Mililani High School.
In the varsity girls match up, the Lady Chargers had an opportunity to improve their record to 4-1 with a win over Mililani and pull into a tie with the Lady Trojans who came into the game at 4-0 atop the OIA Red Western Division. It wasn't to be, as Mililani dominated Pearl City holdimng the Lady Chargers scoreless in a 5-0 shutout led by Tia Furuta's two goals.
Mililani improved to 5-0 while Pearl City fell to 3-2 in league play.
The Charger boys fell behind 2-0 early on in their contest against the Trojans on two quick first half goals by Jeron Cunningham and Marc Matas. Mililani beat Pearl City 3-1. Paul Enriquez scored for Pearl City. Mililani's Marc Matas led all scorers with two goals.
Pearl City falls to 2-1. Mililani is 2-0.
