Amorin pumps in 13 in 29-22 loss to Aiea

The Pearl City Chargers made a late fourth period run last night against Aiea, but came up short to the Lady Na Ali'i 29-22 in OIA Girls Varsity Basketball played at Pearl City High School.

The Lady Chargers went into the half trailing Aiea 17-7, but played a solid second half holding Aiea to two points in the third period and outscoring the Lady Na Ali'i 13-10 in the fourth period.

Pearl City's Tianna Amorin's hot hand helped bring the Lady Chargers within five points of the lead late in the fourth period with her second 3-pointer of the game. The Lady Na Ali'i converted from the free throw line, down the stretch, to preserve the win.

Amorin led all scorers with 13 points that included two 3-pointers.

Aiea's Mich'lae Higa led the Lady Na Ali'i with 10 points.  

Pearl City falls to 1-4. Aiea is even at 3-3.

Pearl City hits the road to take on the Lady Golden Hawks at Nanakuli High School on Saturday, December 28. Junior Varsity tip-off is set for 5:30pm with the Varsity to follow 15 minutes after the conclusion of the Junior Varsity contest.
