Pearl City girls first, boys runner-up in OIA Red West Varsity Wrestling Championships

The Pearl City Charger girls captured first place while the boys finished runner-up in the team competition of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Western Division Varsity Wrestling Championships on Saturday at the Aiea High School gymnasium.

Charger girls won 2 individual championships, 3-second place, and 3-third place finishes.

The boys brought home four individual championships along with 3-second place finishes.

The Chargers move on to the OIA Championship Tournament scheduled for Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22 at Leilehua High School.

The HHSAA Hawaii State Varsity Wrestling Championships will follow the OIA Championships on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1 at the Neil Blaisdell Center.
