Aloha United Way and their partnering agencies, that provide services to communities across Oahu, are the beneficiaries of over $45,000 donated by Hawaiian Electric:

• Goodwill Industries of Hawaii (for job placement, career development, education, training and support services)

• Hawaiian Humane Society (for animal care services)

• Kualoa-Heeia Ecumenical Youth Project (for youth programs)

• Learning Disabilities Association of Hawaii (to enhance education, work and life opportunities for children and youth with disabilities)

The $45,000 donation was announced by Hawaiian Electric in a press release presented to the media on Friday, March 7, 2014.

The Pearl City community is a direct beneficiary of the many services that Hawaiian Electric supports. Our residents, and their ohana, appreciate Hawaiian Electric's commitment as a power source and neighbor, as well as their efforts to meet our needs well into the future.
