Congratulations to the Pearl City High School

Boys Wrestling Team

2014 Hawaii State Champions

Members of the Pearl City High School boys wrestling team, winners of the 2014 Chevron-HHSAA wrestling championships, were honored on the floor of the State House this week. This is Pearl City High School's first state boys wrestling team championship in its 43-year history & is the first time in 7 years that an Oahu Interscholastic Association member school won a state boys wrestling team championship.  The countless hours of practice & discipline of the individual athletes contributed to the success of the entire team.

Pictured below with Rep. Takayama (far right) are Rep. Ryan I. Yamane, Jordan Fuamatu (Senior, State Wrestling Champion), Alex Ursua (Senior, 2-time individual State Wrestling Champion), Blake Cooper (Senior, Team Captain, 3-time State Wrestling Champion), Head Coach Michael Lee, and Rep. Roy M. Takumi.
