Aiea’s Dylan Madamba stops Pearl City 2-0 in OIA Red West Baseball

Aiea's Dylan Madamba tossed a two hitter to beat Pearl City 2-0 yesterday at the Na Ali'i home field. The Chargers suffered  their second loss in row and fell to 3-4 in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Western Division league standings. Aiea improved to 2-4.

Madamba earn the win allowing no runs and one hit with three strikeouts and four walks in 4.3 innings of work.

Jansen Kudaishi earned the save in 2.7 innings of relief for Madamba allowing no runs and one hit with two strikeouts and no walks.

Pearl City's Dane Kaneshiro took the loss for the Chargers in a solid performance on the mound allowing two runs and two hits with three strikeouts and three walks.

Liwai Manoa led the Na Ali'i at the plate hitting  2-3. Tyler Kushima 1-3 and Tanner Tokunaga 1-4 recorded both of the Chargers hits in the game.

Pearl City's struggles at the plate and on the scoreboard continued with their second straight shut out loss in a row.

The Chargers have a gap in their regular season schedule with a bye on Saturday, March 29 and will return to action on Wednesday, April 2 against league leading Campbell at the Chargers home field. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30pm.
