Campbell moves to 8-0 after 8-2 win over Pearl City

The Campbell Sabers moved to a perfect 8-0 in the OIA Red Western Division after defeating the Pearl City Chargers 8-2 on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at Pearl City High School.

Zachary Kapihe earned the win for the Sabers allowing two runs on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks in four innings of work.

Dorrien Villanueva-Hermosura pitched three innings in relief for the Sabers allowing no runs, three hits and one strikeout.

Tanner Tokunaga took the loss for the Chargers allowing eight runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and three walks in five innings of work.

Dane Kaneshiro pitched two innings in relief for the Chargers allowing no runs, one hit and one walk.

Tryzen Rene Patricio led the Sabers at the plate hitting 2-3 with a double and an RBI.

Dane Kaneshiro went 3-3 and Jason Komoda batted 2-3 with a double, RBI, and one run scored for the Chargers.

Pearl City hits the road on Saturday, April 5 to face Mililani with first pitch scheduled for 11:00am.
