The Pearl City Chargers Boys and Girls Varsity Judo teams are both coming off championship form performances at last week's Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division Judo Championships held at Aiea High School. The girls captured four-first place, six-second place, and two-second place finishes in the individual competition. The boys finished the championship tournament with two-first place, two-second, and one-third place.
The Chargers set their sights on this Saturday's OIA Individual Judo Championships to be held at Leilehua High School with matches set to begin at 10:30am.
The OIA Team Championships are scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 5:00pm at Waipahu High School. The HHSAA State Tournament will be held the following Saturday, May 10 at the Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawaii. Matches start at 10:30am.
