Waianae blanks Pearl City 3-0 in OIA Softball Championship Quarterfinals

The Waianae Lady Seariders advanced to today's OIA Red Division Championship semifinals after defeating Pearl City 3-0 in the championship tournament quarterfinals on Thursday at Waianae High School.

Waianae will play Moanalua at 7:00pm this evening in a semifinal doubleheader at Central Oahu Regional Park. Campbell will take on Mililani at 5:00pm.

Pearl City will play Kapolei at Kapolei in a semifinal consolation match-up while Leilehua travels to Kaiser. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30pm.

Waianae ace Cranci Kamaka earned the win for Lady Seariders pitching seven complete innings while allowing no runs and two hits with seven strikeouts and two walks .

Pearl City starting pitcher Kristin Frost allowed two runs on seven hits with one strikeout and one walk in the loss to Waianae.

Tyanna Kaaialii pitched two innings in relief allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts and four walks.

Nue Sivia batted  2-3 with a double and a RBI for the Lady Seariders. Sivia drove

in Mahina Chong in the bottom of the fifth inning to put the Lady Seariders up 3-0.
