Ewa Beach advances to District 7 Juniors Championship with 7-3 win over Pearl City

Ewa Beach defeated Pearl City 7-3 on Saturday in the winners bracket of the 2014 District 7 Little League Championship Tournament played at Hans L 'Orange Field in Waipahu.

Ewa Beach moves on to the tournament championship game scheduled for Monday, July 7. Pearl City will play Waipio today at 12:00pm with the winner advancing to the championship against Ewa Beach. Today's winner will need to beat Ewa Beach twice to win the championship. The District 7 championship tournament is played as a double elimination format.

Ewa Beach starting pitcher Jace Borja earned the win. Hunter Breault and Roy Clemons pitched in relief for Ewa Beach.

Marcus Boyles got the start for Pearl City. Brannon Liu pitched in relief of Boyles.

Christian Onomura reaches second base safely on a steal, and close call, ahead of the tag

game gunning down Pearl City baserunners from his shortstop position for Ewa Beach.
