Waipio advances to District 7 Juniors Championship with dramatic 3-2 win over Pearl City

Jordan Donahue scored from third base in the bottom of the seventh inning on a hard hit infield grounder by teammate Kaysen Kajiwara to lift Waipio over Pearl City 3-2 in the 2014 District 7 Juniors Little League Championship Tournament played on Sunday, July 7, 2014 at Hans L 'Orange Field in Waipahu.

Donahue got into scoring position after blasting a one out triple to right field in the bottom of the seventh inning. Next batter Kajiwara hit a grounder to the Pearl City shortstop who couldn't get a handle the ball allowing Donahue to score from third base with the running run.

Waipio advances to today's championship game against Ewa Beach. Ewa Beach blanked Waipio 13-0 to open the District 7 championship tournament on Friday, July 4. Waipio is tasked with beating Ewa Beach twice today in the double elimination format tournament to win the championship.
