2014 Pearl City Shopping Center Halloween Keiki Costume Contest & Trick or Treat Parade

The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association held their annual Halloween Keiki Costume Contest & Trick or Treat Parade on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

Kids 12 years and under were invited to don their costumes and enter the Keiki Costume Contest hosted by Chuck E. Restaurant. The keiki later joined together for the “Trick or Treat” – "Store to Store" Parade around the Pearl City Shopping Center where participating merchants passed out treats.

24 prizes were awarded in the Costume Contest.  Categories were themed and age-graded from 12 years and under.  They included 12 first place prizes of $50 gift certificates plus a Chuck E. Cheese Pizza Fun Party and 12 second place prizes of $25 gift certificates plus 50 Chuck E. Cheese tokens.  Gift certificates were sponsored and awarded by the Pearl City Shopping Center and are good at participating Pearl City Shopping Center merchants. About a couple hundred keiki and their ohana participated in the event.

Mahalo to the Pearl City High School Athlete Honor Society for another great job as judges and scoring tabulators for the keiki costume contest.

Also, mahalo to the Chuck E. Restaurant management and employees and community volunteers who did a wonderful job in helping make the event run smoothly.

Sheri also serves on the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association Board of Directors.
