Four Lady Chargers qualify for Saturday’s HHSAA State Cross Country Championships

The Pearl City Lady Chargers competed at the Oahu Interscholastic Association Varsity Girls Cross Country Individual & Team Championships on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipahu.

Four Lady Chargers qualified for this Saturday's, (November 1), HHSAA Honolulu Marathon State Varsity Girls Cross Country Championships at Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipahu.

Kaiser High School captured the 2014 OIA team championship title with a time of 1:43:45.91.

Kaiser's Lisa Tashiro brought home the 2014 OIA individual championship title with a time of 19:32.21.

Pearl City's Kailee Eli was the first Lady Charger to complete the 3-mile course with a time of 22:17.33 and a 19th place finish. Teammate Jean Wadsack-Myers finished one second behind Eli in 20th place at 22:18.38.  Vinarie Cortez, (49) 24:28.08, and Karissa Oda, (54) 24:44.25 completed the Lady Chargers state championship qualifying team. Kaysi Cazimero fell ill in the race and did not finish.
