I would like to personally congratulate Pearl City's Sean & Kyle Luster from the alternative rock band Red Light Challenge who were just awarded the Hot AC Artist of the Year Award at last night's 24th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards ceremony held at Avalon Hollywood.
I have been given the honor of being in the audience at a few of the bands performances in the last few months at different venues and at Pearl City District Complex Schools in Pearl City. They are truly an amazing, talented, creative, and spirited duet that rocks the audience from the heart.
Sean and Kyle along with Dad, Rich, also spend many hours on the road visiting students from the elementary level through high school, spreading the band's "Red Light, Green Light Go" program that teaches, educates, and inspirers students to reach for their dreams and goals and excel via the magic of music. Together, Sean, Kyle, and dad give back to our Pearl City District Complex Schools with performances at several schools each year.
Sean Luster is a 2010 Pearl City High School graduate while Kyle Luster is currently a senior at PCHS. When the band returns to Pearl City from Hollywood in a couple weeks, they will perform for the first time in Hawaii as the award winning Red Light Challenge Band at Pearl City High School on Thursday, December 4, and at Pearl City Elementary School on Friday, December 12.
Congratulations to the Luster ohana for representing Hawaii with the true meaning of Aloha that beams with respect, humbleness, and gratitude for the doors that have opened along the way in their journey. Your talents are gifts that are shared and enjoyed by all through your music, lyrics, and soul.
A very special mahalo to Rich Luster for keeping me updated on Sean & Kyle's tour dates, accomplishments, and very special moments so far in their careers as performing artists.
