Mililani captures OIA D1 Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Championship 2-1 over Pearl City

Mililani defeated Pearl City 2-1 on Saturday at Kaiser High School to bring home the Lady Trojans 15th straight Oahu Interscholastic Association Division 1 Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Championship crown.

Both teams battled through inclement weather that included strong winds and chilling rain and a soaked Kaiser High School field.

All scoring came in the first half with both teams shutting out each other in the second half.

Mililani finished the regular season and post season at 9-0-1. Pearl City suffered their first loss of the regular and post season finishing with a record of 8-1-1.

The Lady Trojans and Lady Chargers shared the OIA West D1 championhsip title after playing to 1-1 tie and identical 7-0-1 records. Mililani won a coin toss to earn the #1 seed from the West in the OIA Championship Tournament. Pearl City advanced to the OIA championship tournament as the West #2 seed.
