Patricio’s game winning RBI lifts Campbell over Pearl City 2-1 in 8 innings

Campbell’s Tryzen Patricio drove in Kainoa Ganancial from third base with a sac fly to left field in the top of the eighth inning to beat Pearl City 2-1 in Oahu Interscholastic Association D1 West varsity baseball played on Saturday at Pearl City High School.

Zachary Kapihe earned the win pitching seven complete innings, allowing one run on four hits with two walks. Dorrien Hermosura-Villanueva pitched the bottom of eighth inning for the save.

Pearl City's Trenton Darby pitched seven strong innings for the Chargers allowing an unearned run and five hits before being relieved by Chevy Sumile to start the top of the eighth inning. Sumile gave up the game winning RBI sac fly by Patricio to take the loss for the Chargers.

Campbell improved their league record to 5-0. Pearl City is even at 2-2 in league play.

The Chargers return to action on Monday against Waipahu at Hans L 'Orange Park in Waipahu. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm. The game will be telecast on OC XCAST.

The Sabers will travel to Mililani to take on the Trojans on Saturday, March 28.
