Pearl City, Mililani play to 3-3 tie in OIA West D1 Softball

Pearl City (4-2-1) and Mililani (6-0-1) played to a 3-3 tie in a key OIA West D1 West Softball match up on Tuesday at Pearl City High School. The game was called after six complete innings due to darkness.

Pearl City's Kristin Frost pitched 5 1/3 innings for the Lady Chargers. Frost allowed three runs on four hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Tyanna Kaaialii pitched 2/3 innings in relief of Frost.

Mililani's Aubrey Kim pitched six complete innings for the Lady Trojans. Kim allowed three runs on two hits with nine strikeouts and six walks.

Tristan Cozo led the Lady Trojans at the plate hitting 2-3 with double and a RBI.

Natalie Kang went 1-3 with a HR, RBI and run scored for the Lady Chargers. Kang's solo homerun gave Pearl City a 3-2 lead in the bottom of fifth inning.  Taylor Shigeta hit 1-2 with a run scored.

Pearl City gets back on the diamond against Waipahu on Friday, April 3 at Central Oahu Regional Park with first pitched schedule for 6:30pm.

Mililani will host Waianae on Saturday, April 4 at 10:00am

Nat Kang hit her second homerun in the last three games for the Lady Chargers.

Kang's bottom of the fifth inning solo homerun put Pearl City in front of Mililani 3-2.
