Pearl City’s Peanut Butter Kaaialii goes the distance in 8-2 win over Kapolei

Pearl City's Tyanna "Peanut Butter" Kaaialii pitched a complete game to stop Kapolei 8-2 in OIA D1 West varsity softball played on Thursday at Pearl City High School.

Kaaialii pitched seven innings allowing two runs on four hits with nine strikeouts and six walks.

Pearl City pounded out eleven hits with several Lady Chargers having solid performances at the plate. Cheyne Obara went 3-3 with a RBI and two runs scored. Noel Saunders had a hot bat for Lady Chargers hitting 2-4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Taylor Shigeta batted 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Darian Obara hit 2-4 with a RBI.

Thursday's win made it a sweep for the Lady Chargers over the Lady Hurricanes in their two game regular season series.

Pearl City improved their D1 West record to 6-2-1. Kapolei falls to 3-5.

The Lady Chargers get back to action on Saturday, April 11 at Campbell to take on the Lady Sabers with first pitch scheduled for 10:00am.

for the Lady Chargers hitting 3-3 with a RBI and two runs scored.

Hailey-Alexis Yamaguchi belted another double for the Lady Chargers

on Thursday. Yamaguchi batted 2-3 against Kapolei.
