Chargers suffer first round state tourney loss to Mililani 3-1

The Chargers were taken down by Mililani 3-1 last night in the first round of the Wally Yonamine Foundation HHSAA Division I State Baseball Championship Tournament played at Les Murakami Stadium on the campus of the University of Hawaii in Manoa.

Koa Eastlack tossed a three hitter to earn the win. Kaimana Souza-Paaluhi homered for the Trojans.

Trenton Darley took the loss for the Chargers allowing three runs on six hits with four strikeouts and five walks in 5 2/3 innings.

Dane Kaneshiro led the Chargers at the plate hitting 2-3 with a double.

Mililani (13-3) plays #3 Baldwin (12-3) today in the championship tournament quarterfinals scheduled for 1:00pm at Les Murakami Stadium.

Pearl City (9-8) will take on Kailua (12-4) in the consolation bracket on Friday, May 8 at Hans L 'Orange Park in Waipahu. First pitch is schedule for 9:00am.
