Pearl City captured the 2015 9-10 Year Old Hawaii District 7 Little League Championship after defeating Waipio 8-3 on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Puuloa Field in Ewa Beach.
Drew Boyles earned the championship win for Pearl City. Spencer Rego got the start for Waipio.
Michael Tamura powered a 3-run homerun in the bottom of the first inning to give Pearl City an early 3-0 lead.
Ethan Waikiki hit a 2-RBI double in the top of the fourth inning to put Waipio on the scoreboard.
Pearl City moves on to the state championship tournament that begins on Thursday, June 18 at Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipio. Pearl City has a bye and will play the winner of Thursday's opening round game featuring District 6 vs.District 4 on Friday, June 19 on Youth Field #2 at 1:00pm.

Kennadie Tsue strokes a base hit in the bottom of the second inning. Tsue would later score in the
inning that produced four runs on three hits to give Pearl City a 7-0 lead after two complete innings.
