In celebration of the 2015 HSPLS Children's Summer Reading Program, the Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) will present a free event at Pearl City Public Library on Sunday, June 28 at 1 p.m. in the Adult Reading Area and Library parking lot.
Meet the brave men and women of the Honolulu Fire Department who risk their lives every day to help protect life and property from the dangers of fire and other emergencies. HFD members will discuss their careers and what it means to be a firefighter. View a fire truck up close and personal in the library parking lot and learn how firefighters use it to battle fires and save lives.
This 2½ hour event is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
