Pearl City ripped past North Hawaii of the Big Island 13-2 (6 innings) on Friday in the first round of the 2015 Hawaii State Junior Little League Championship Tournament played at Kaneohe District Park.

Pearl City picked up where they left off after winning the District 7 championship over MKH in late June. Tough play that manufactures runs and overwhelms their opponents has become the team's trademark style so far in the post-season. Yesterday's win over North Hawaii was via the 10-run rule that ended the game in the sixth inning.

Pearl City piled up nine runs after two innings of play. North Hawaii scored their two runs of the ball game in the bottom of the third inning.

Cade Halemanu earned the win for Pearl City.

Pearl City moves on in the double elimination championship tournament winner's bracket and will play Kaneohe on Saturday at 10:00am.
