Pearl City Handed 1st Loss in 2015 Juniors Little League World Series

Today, Western Regional champion, Pearl City (2-1) was handed its first loss in the 2015 Little League World Series against Southeast Regional champion Frederick, Virginia (2-1) 10-0 in 6 innings. 

Pearl City, Hawaii started Carter Hirano on the mound and was relieved by Trey Maldonado and Caleb Young.  Virginia bats were alive scoring 4 runs in the 1st, then added 1 run in the 3rd, 3 runs in the 5th, and 2 more runs in the 6th.   Today, Pearl City could just not cash in on several opportunities with runners left on base.  

Pearl City's next game is set for Wednesday, August 19, 2015 @ 11am Hawaii time vs Central Region champion Johnston, Iowa (1-0).   Iowa has a late game tonight vs. East and is 1-0 in tourney play at the time of this posting.
