Pearl City High School received the first of two deliveries of free fans on Friday, September 18, 2015 from the organizers of the “Fans From Fans” PCHS fan drive. Fans From Fans supporter City Mill delivered 108 fans that were received by PCHS vice-principal Herman Leong . The fans will make their way to the classrooms to help cool down the students during the summer heat wave that has fallen on the state. The fans were made available from the generous support of our community and City Mill.
"On behalf of the Pearl City High School staff and students, we are very grateful that community members took the initiative to attain donations to help us in our classroom," said PCHS vice principal Herman Leong. "As everyone knows, the past month from the beginning of school it's been pretty difficult because of the humidity. This kind of donation really helps in terms of creating a better learning environment for our students."
"Our first delivery to Pearl City High School is very exciting," said Fans From Fans co-organizer Jaci Agustin. "We had a lot of help, a lot of hands pulling the fans out of the back of the trucks. We were able to deliver 108 fans."
A total 251 fans will be donated and delivered to PCHS within the next couple weeks.
Fans From Fans organizers will conduct its second PCHS fan drive tomorrow, Saturday, September 19 at the Pearl City Shopping Center near Foodland from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
