Oct 23, 2015 | PC Community

Community volunteers from CTAP – Community Traffic Awareness Program held a sign waving event on Thursday, October 22, 2015 to help bring traffic safety awareness to motorists traveling on Kaahele Street in Aiea and as they make their way through our Aiea and Pearl City neighborhoods.

Volunteers from the Newtown Security Watch Program and Pearl City community, joined HPD Officer K. Godinet from the District 3 Pearl City Community Policing Team in the sign waving event on Kaahele Street fronting the entrance to the Newtown Recreation Center.

The CTAP group successfully delivered the message to slow down, drive safely, and watch out for pedestrians in crosswalks.

Mahalo to Officer Godinet and Kathy Ebey from the Newtown Security Watch Program for leading the volunteers on Thursday.
