Pearl City Shopping Center supports Waiau Elementary with $1000.00 gift certificate donation

Waiau Elementary School Principal Mr. Troy Takazono and group of outstanding sixth grade students were presented 10 – $100.00 Pearl City Shopping Center gift certificates on Tuesday from PCSC Merchants Association Board Members Sheri Rolf and me, Barry Villamil.

Waiau Elementary is the first of two Pearl City District Complex Schools to receive a $1000.00 PCSC gift certificate donation for the 2015-2016 school year. Pearl City Highlands Elementary will also receive a donation at a later date.

“We are very thankful to the Pearl City Shopping Center for donating the thousand dollars to us,” said Principal Takazono.  “We’re going to put it to good use.”

“What a privilege it is to be here and help support Waiau Elementary and the students and the wonderful work they do right here in our own community,” said Sheri Rolf, Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association.

The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association will also make $500.00 gift certificate donations in 2015 to Highlands Intermediate School in support of their award winning Science and Robotics Programs, and to Pearl City High School in support of the PCHS Athletics Program.

Last week, the Pearl City Shopping Center supported the 40th Annual Oahu Marching Band Festival at Aloha Stadium with a $5000.00 co-title sponsorship. The event is hosted each year by the Pearl City High School Marching Band Program.

The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association is proud and honored to give back to the 10 Pearl City District Complex Schools with financial assistance to help improve the quality of the student’s educational experience and extracurricular activities.
