On Wednesday, February 17, the Pearl City High School Robotics Team was presented an Honorary Certificate by Honolulu City Councilman Brandon Elefante in recognition for winning the 2015 Hawaii Electric Companies Hawaii State High School VEX Championship. The Honorary Certificate presentation was made during the full city council meeting in Kapolei.
Pearl City won the 2015 Hawaii State High School VEX Championship after two days of competition on December 11 and 12, 2015 at Pearl City High School. The PCHS champions are one of the top six teams from the championships that qualified for the VEX Worlds Championship in Louisville, Kentucky in April 2016.
Mahalo to Hawaii Electric Companies for generously sponsoring the 2015 Hawaii State High School VEX Championship. Also mahalo to the award winning Highlands Intermediate School Robotics Program, led by advisor Joan Okai, for hosting the championship competition at Pearl City High School. Great job!
