Haley-Alexis Yamaguchi and Kylie Tasaki both homered for Pearl City in the Lady Chargers 11-0 shut-out win over the visiting Waianae Seariders in OIA Western Division Varsity Softball played on Saturday at Pearl City High School's Lady Chargers softball diamond.
Pearl City's Tyanna Kaaialii pitched four complete innings allowing no runs, no hits, with nine strikeouts for the win. Kristin Frost pitched two innings in relief allowing no runs and two hits.
Bailey Pittman took the loss for the Lady Seariders. Pittman allowed eleven runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and three walks in 5 2/3 innings.
Lady Chargers Leading Hitters: Kylie Tasaki batted 2-3, Homerun, 4 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Haley-Alexis Yamaguchi went 1-2 at the plate with a homerun, 3 RBI, and 1 run scored. Kristin Frost batted 3-4, 2B, RBI, 3 runs scored. Hope Casarez batted 1-3, RBI, 2 runs scored. Alexas Presto-Ahsing went 1-1.
Paiaala Wilcox-Molina and Bailey Pittman both batted 1-2 for the Lady Seariders.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Tuesday, March 22 at Leilehua. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00pm.
