Campbell wins OIA championship tourney 3rd place consolation 6-3 over Pearl City

The  Lady Chargers dropped the OIA DI softball championship tournament 3rd place consolation game to Campbell 6-3 on Saturday at Campbell High School.

Campbell starter Danielle Cervantes earned the win tossing seven complete innings while allowing three runs, three hits with ten strikeouts and three walks.

Tyanna Kaaialii lost her second game in a row after going 2-0 in the championship tournament first round and quarterfinals.Kaaialli pitched four innings, giving up five runs, six hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Kristin Frost pitched two innings in relief of Kaaialii. Frost allowed one run, one hit with no strikeouts and one walk.

Chardonnay Pantastico led Campbell at the plate hitting 3-4, RBI, and 2 runs scored.

Tyanna Kaaialii batted 1-1 with a double and a RBI. Ana Cabato 1-3, RBI; Darian Obara 1-2, run scored.

Both Pearl City and Campbell advanced to the HHSSA State Division I Championship Tournament scheduled for May 10 – 13 at Rainbow Wahine Stadium.
