Mililani’s Kim shuts down Pearl City 6-0 to advance to OIA title game

Mililani ace hurler Aubree Kim blanked the Lady Chargers 6-0 on Friday to advance the Lady Trojans to tonight's OIA DI Softball Championship game against Kapolei who defeated the defending state champion Campbell Lady Sabers 5-4 in the first game of last night's semifinal doubleheader at McKinley High School.

Mililani is the defending OIA champions and will be going after their third OIA title in a row.

Winning pitcher Aubree Kim pitched seven complete innings allowing no runs, three hits with nine strikeouts and five walks.

Pearl City ace Tyanna Kaaialii’s impressive run through the championshiop tournament was disrupted after taking the loss for the Lady Chargers. Tyanna pitched six complete innings allowing six runs, seven hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

Pearl City (8-7) will face Campbell (13-1) this afternoon for third place at Campbell High School with first pitch scheduled for 3:00pm

The Lady Chargers have already qualified for next week's state championship tournament.

After back to back no-hit performanes, Pearl City's Tyanna Kaaialii

suffered the loss against the Lady Trojans. Kaaialii pitched six complete

innings allowing six runs, seven hits with three strikeouts and no walks.
