Mahalo for supporting the 2nd Annual Eat The Street – Pearl City!

May 15, 2016 | PC Community

Mahalo to everyone who made yesterday's 2nd Annual Eat The Street – Pearl City held at Pearl City High School another great success for our community! You made it possible for the Pearl City Community Association (PCCA) to provide our 10 Pearl City Complex School's with much needed financial support for the upcoming 2016-2017.

Eat The Street – Pearl City was presented by the Pearl City Shopping Center and hosted by Pearl City High School and generously sponsored by corporate sponsors, Pearl City Shopping Center (Title Sponsor) and Hawaiian Electric (Area Sponsor) who's generous support will make its way to our Pearl City Complex Schools.

The PCCA is very grateful for the hard work and dedication that the students, faculty, staff, and administrators from Pearl City High School put in while volunteering their time to make the 2nd Annual Eat The Street – Pearl City once again a great success for our community! PCHS volunteers worked tirelessly the last few months to coordinate, prepare, and execute our fundraiser event that supports our 10 Pearl City District Complex Schools.

A special mahalo goes out to PCHS Principal Mr. Joseph Halfmann and PCHS Vice Principal Kyle Miyashiro. Also, Mr. Les Aranaydo and his wood shop students who designed and built the PCHS alumni signature walls, and Mr. Rodney Higa and his graphics students who provided the alumni wall graphics. Thank you to all the PCHS student musicians, singers, and dancers who entertained the Eat The Street crowd!

Also, mahalo to the crafters who presented their specialty crafts for sale, and also to the Pearl City Complex Elementary Schools who manned the keiki game booths. Thank you to Alyssa Tenorio and Kiewit for providing event prizes and event dumpster, and to HPD for providing Keiki I.D.'s.

We were also honored to have Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell attend the event as well. Mayor Caldwell took a few minutes to speak to the crowd and offered his praise for our outstanding community and how proud he is of our accomplishments as a community. He also mentioned that he grew up right next door in Waipahu.

Thank you to everyone for supporting the 2nd Annual Eat The Street – Pearl City!
