Manana Elementary’s Ezabelle Cadiz wins RCOP Good Citizen Award!

The Rotary Club of Pearlridge (RCOP) presented the third of 12 Good Citizen Awards for the 2015-2016 school year to Manana Elementary School third grader Ezabelle Cadiz on Monday, May 9, 2016 during an assembly in the school cafeteria.

In the first semester of the school year, RCOP community volunteers donated and distributed over 850 free dictionaries to third graders and their teachers at 12 Aiea / Pearl City elementary schools. The students were introduced to Rotary Club International's  "Four Way Test". Principles of the "Four Way Test"  were included in each dictionary for the students to study and practice.

Towards the end of the current school year,  the students third grade teachers from each school got together to choose the student that best exemplified the Four Way Test Principals while being a good citizen in and out of school. All Good Citizen Award recipients received a $50.00 check from the Rotary Club of Pearlridge.

"Four Way Test"

1.  Is it the truth;
2.  Is it fair to all concerned,
3.  Will it bring good will and better friendships,
4.  Will it be beneficial to all concerned.

We are very proud and honored to announce Ezabelle Cadiz as Manana Elementary School's  2015-2016 recipient of the Rotary Club of Pearlridge Good Citizen Award!

Congratulations Ezabelle!
