This past weekend, Puu Kala Street resident Virginia Tailo brought attention to a safety issue due to the current road construction on Puu Kala Street near Puu Poni Street in Pearl City. Tailo raised safety concerns with regard to panels placed to cover the road construction trench work that were separating and unsafe. Her call went out on social media and was answered.
"It looks like someone came and put some temporary holders/bolts to hold it down. Is someone listening?" said Tailo. Yes, they were listening and mahalo for the quick response by the contractors.
Mahalo to Virginia Tailo for speaking up and and making a difference for her neighbors and the Pearl City community.
