Pearl City defeated Waipahu 20-7 in 2016 Hawaiii Little League 50/70 District 7 Championship Tournament on Saturday at Central Regional Park in Waipio.
Pearl City busted out the bats in the top of the second inning scoring nine runs on five hits to take a 12-2 lead. Waipahu answered with four runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning to close the gap at 12-6. Pearl City outscored Waipahu 8-1 rest of the way for the win. Pearl City's Taylor Au drove in runs 17, 18, and 19 on a bases loaded 3 RBI triple to left field in the top of the fifth inning. Pinemua Epenesa scored Au on sac grounder for the final run of the ball game.
