Hawaii Diamonds head to Cal Ripken 10 Year Old World Series!

Hawaii Diamonds Black captured the 2016 Cal Ripken 10U Pacific Southwest Regional Championship on Saturday after blowing past Elk Grove (Northern California) 12-2 (F/4) at Rohnert Park in California.

The Diamonds advanced to the championship game after pounding and shutting out host Rohnert Park (Northern California) 12-0 in the first game played on Saturday.

The Hawaii and Southwest Regional Champions move on to the Cal Ripken 10 Year Old World Series beginning on Thursday, August 4 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Several Diamonds were honored and recognized for their outstanding play in the tournament:
 
Kaiden Sonoda-Fukumoto, Caleb Lauifi, and Ridge Choy were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Kaiden Sonoda-Fukumoto – Tournament MVP
Caleb Lauifi – Offensive Player of the Tournament
Skyler Unebasami – Defensive Player of the Tournament
Shonty Passi – Offensive Player of the Game
