Pearl City High School annual craft fair success benefits special education

Our Pearl City community once again packed the Pearl City High School cafeteria during the school's annual Holiday Craft Fair on Sunday, November 20 in support of PCHS Special Education. Dozens of craft and food booth vendors offered shoppers a great opportunity to buy Holiday gifts and enjoy ono treats while supporting the school.

Waffle Dogs, Poi Mochi, Jamba Juice, Bentos, Local honey from Bee Works Hawaii were a few of the awesome food vendors who sold their ono products to craft fair attendees.  There were so many creative and talented craft vendors as well. One of my favorites was the masterfully designed and hand crafted wood benches, tables, and chairs by PCHS students from Mr. Lester Aranayado's Building and Construction Technology Program.

Chris Nakanishi from the PCHS Class of '84, supported the school, as she does each year, with her beautiful hand-crafted Christmas gifts. I was lucky to pick up one of Chris's very popular Christmas themed wooden mailboxes before they were sold out. i also received a very special Christmas wreath that was hand crafted by her grandmother and given to me as a gift. What made the beautiful Christmas gift even more special is that it was hand crafted by Chris's grandmother, who is 90 years old and an amazing talent  Chris and her grandmother have huge hearts that are filled with the Christmas spirit of giving.

Mahalo to the Pearl City community and local small business vendors who come together each year during the Holiday season to support Pearl City High School and PCHS Special Education.

Happy Holidays!
