Waipahu slips past Pearl City 35-34

Waipahu (1-5) picked up their first win of the regular season after getting past Pearl City (1-5) by a single digit 35-34 in Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division I varsity boys basketball played on Thursday at Pearl City High School.

Felicer Barut led Waipahu with 10 points including 1-3PM. Cole Phillips 8 points, 2-3PM and Jeminae Solomua 8 points contributed 16 points in the Marauders win.

Pearl City's Ryan Yamamoto led all scorers with 11 points, 2-3PM. Pierce McMoore and and Jared Nash pumped in 8 points apiece for the Chargers.

The Chargers return to action on Tuesday, January 17 at Campbell.  JV – 5:30pm, Varsity – 7:00pm
