Kapolei over Pearl City 2-1 in state soccer championship quarterfinals

#1 Kapolei (12-0-2) bumped Pearl City (12-3-1) from the HHSAA State Division I Varsity Boys Soccer championship playoffs with a 2-1 quarterfinal win on Thursday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex in Waipahu.

Pearl City took a 1-0 lead on Daniels Woo's goal early in second at the 47th minute. Braden Bantolina tied the game at 1-1 for Kapolei late in the half at the 65th minute. Kieran Raquedan scored the winning goal at the 77th minute.

#1 seed Kapolei moves on to the championship tournament semifinals against Punahou on Friday, 7:00pm at the  Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex Main Stadium while Pearl City will play Kealakehe from the BIFF in a semifinal match-up for 5th place.
