Pearl City Chargers varsity baseball opens their 2017 OIA regular season today, Thursday, February 23, at home against Waipahu with first pitch scheduled for 3:00pm. The Chargers will also travel to Kapolei to take on the Hurricanes this Saturday, February 25 at 11:00am.
Pearl City Head Coach Peter Arakawa begins his first year at the helm of the Chargers baseball program in 2017. Arakawa follows former head coach Gavin Concepcion who stepped down after leading the Chargers to a runner-up finish to state champion Baldwin in the 2016 Division I HHSAA state baseball championships.
