Okada leads Pearl City over Mililani 9-3

Pearl City ace Carson Okada picked up his second complete game win of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division I regular season on Friday, March 10, 2017  over the visiting Mililani Trojans 9-3. Okada pitched seven innings allowing three runs on five hits, no walks and eight strikeouts.

Mililani starting pitcher Ethan Muller took the loss in three innings of work for the Trojans. Muller allowed five runs on three hits with three walks and one strikeout. Preston Morales, Seth Thomas, and Li’i Wolford pitched in relief for the Trojans.

Pearl City improved to 2-3 in league play while Mililani fell to 1-3.

Christian Onomura led the Chargers at the plate hitting 1-3 with a double and 3 RBI. Onomura slammed a 2 RBI double in the bottom of the fourth inning that scored Sam Prentice and Matt Aribal. The Chargers took a 7-1 lead after four complete innings.

Korrey Siracusa had a solid performance at the plate for the Trojans hitting 2-3 with a triple and 3 RBI. Siracusa blasted a 2 RBI triple in the top of the fifth inning that scored Gavin Onizuka and Noah Domogsac. The Trojans closed within four runs of the lead at 7-3.

The Chargers return to league play against Aiea, at home, on Wednesday, March 15 with first pitch scheduled for 3:00pm.
