Domingo repeats, Baverstock & Gatiuan finish runner-up at OIA Individual Tennis Championships

The Pearl City Lady Chargers competed at the 2017 Oahu Interscholastic Association Individual Tennis Championships held at Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipio on Saturday, April 22.

Pearl City sophomore Sarah Domingo repeated as the OIA individual champion by defeating Kalani junior Dale Emoto in three sets, 6-7, 6-1, 6-0.

Pearl City's Jill Baverstock and Kira Gatiuan finished runner-up in the doubles competition to the Mililani championship duo of Haley Fujimori and Taryn Fujimori in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

Next up for both the Chargers Boys and Girls tennis teams is the 2017 HHSAA HMSA State Tennis Championships scheduled from May 4-6 at the Royal Lahaina and Kapalua Tennis Garden.
