Today, Pearl City Elementary School gr. 4 students combined their knowledge gained from constructing their Hokule'a Canoes with Wayfinfer navigational skills as shared by expert world Navigator Mark Ellis.   Students applied knowledge gained from Kumu Billy Remular, to practice Navigational Skills routes used by many current canoe team navigational strategies .  The combination of astronomy, ocean wave patterns and canoe design is a skill that enable them to further marine science, as well as boat navigations..  Students at Pearl City Elementary were fortunate to have hands-on interactive lessons with our special guest speakers.
