I would like to wish all the mommies a very Happy Mother's Day and hope your day is filled with love. I would also like to send my prayers to the souls who have passed on to be with loved ones and our Lord in Heaven.
My special prayers go out to my mom who I miss dearly, but is with me every day in spirit and in memory. She was always there for me and my siblings. A great mother, wife, and friend to everyone who filled her life. My mom served the Lord as a pre-school teacher at Our Lady of Good Counsel School and as a Eucharistic Minister, along with my dad, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
Mom was a lot of fun and enjoyed participating in her children's activities. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, Little League scorekeeper, and Youth football team mom. I can still hear my mom cheering from the stands or sidelines in all the years that I played sports from 1st grade to high school.
My mom also had a special touch, one that comforted you and made the worst of times feel a whole lot better.
