Bees & Honey, Butterflies & Roses at Second Saturday at the Garden in Pearl City

The U.H. Urban Garden Center in Pearl City welcomed visitors on Saturday, June 10 to Second Saturday at the Garden that featured Bees & Honey, Butterflies & Roses and a great selection of plants for sale.

Bee experts and businesses conducted classes in the Urban Garden Center classroom setting and also made available a good supply of fresh honey for sale.

Beautiful butterflies were on display and for sale on Saturday. Butterfly experts offered a Q&A for all butterfly lovers and admirers.

The Honolulu Rose Society invited visitors to browse and enjoy dozens of beautiful varities of roses grown in the Urban Garden Center Rose Garden.

UH Master Gardeners were also available to answer any questions and offer their expertise on proper care for visitor’s plant purchases. 

It was another wonderful experience at the UH Urban Garden Center's Second Saturday at the Garden!  Mahalo to everyone who worked hard and volunteered their time to make the day a lot of fun for our community.

The Honolulu Rose Society welcomes the community and their ohana to visit

the amazing Urban Garden Center Rose Garden. The Rosarians work hard throughout

the year to produce beautiful roses that thrive in their garden for all to enjoy.

Honey Bees were featured on Saturday at the UH Urban Garden Center's

Second Saturday at the Garden. Master Gardner's and local businesses led classes

on Honey Bee pollination and honey production. Honey presented on Saturday was

produced from honey bee hives located on the UH Urban Garden Center grounds.
