Kawaihau eliminates Pearl City 7-1 from Hawaii Little League Majors State Championship Tournament

Kawaihau from Kauai eliminated Pearl City 7-1 from the 2017 Hawaii Little League Majors State Championship Tournament on Saturday at Puuiki Park in Waialua.

Kawaihau broke the game open scoring five runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a 7-1 lead. Kawaihau scored their final three runs of the inning on a two-out, 3-run home run blast by Anson Lazaro.

District 7 Champion Pearl City finished the state championship tournament with a record of 0-2 while District 4 Champion Kawaihau advanced with a 1-1 record in the double elimination format tournament.
