The Kaiser Lady Cougars defeated the Pearl City Lady Chargers 19-21, 21-15, 15-13 to win the Oahu Interscholastic Association White Division II Volleyball Championship on Wednesday at McKinley High School.
The two teams battled from the opening serve with the Lady Chargers rallying from a 6-13 deficit to take game one 21-19.
Game two was close, but the Lady Cougars pulled away with the game tied at 14-14 to win it 21-15.
Game three (rally scoring) was a thriller with both teams fighting for every point. With the game tied at 13-13, the Lady Cougars picked up the next two points, went ahead 15-13 and walked off as the newly crowned 2017 OIA White Division II Champions!
