Pearl City Lady Chargers “ROCK” in 5 set playoff win over Kaiser

W2 Pearl City Lady Chargers defeated the visiting E3 Kaiser Lady Cougars in 5 sets 16-25, 25-19, 16-25, 25-17, 15-5 in the first round of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Girls Division II Volleyball Championship Playoffs on Thursday at Pearl City High School.

Both teams played their hearts out for the chance to advance to the semifinals. The Lady Chargers stayed loose throughout the match turning it up a notch in game 4 (25-17) and caught fire in game 5 rally scoring holding the Lady Cougars to 5 points (15-5) for the amazing 5 set victory.

The Lady Chargers move on to the championship playoff semifinals against OIA East Champion Kailua on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Kailua High School.

E2 McKinley will take on OIA West Champion Nanakuli in the first semifinal match-up at 5:30pm on Monday at Kailua High School. Pearl City vs. Kailua will follow. McKinley swept W3 Waialua last night 25-13, 27-25, 25-21 at Pearl City High School to advance to the semifinals.
