Nanakuli sweeps Pearl City 3-0 to win OIA D2 Girls VB Championship title

Nanakuli captured their first Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II Girls Volleyball Championship in school history after sweeping Pearl City 25-11, 25-16, 25-16 on Wednesday NIGHT at McKinley High School's Student Council Gymnasium.

Janae Odom led the Lady Golden Hawks with 16 kills, 4 aces, and 18 digs.

Rebecca Matapua recorded 7 kills, 2 aces, and 17 digs for the Lady Chargers.

Both Nanakuli and Pearl City earned berths into the 2017 Nissan Girls Volleyball State Championships to be held on Wednesday, October 25 – Saturday, October 28, 2017.

Congratulations to the newly crowned Nanakuli Golden Hawks Championship Ohana!

Also, congratulations to our Lady Chargers for an amazing run towards an OIA Championship!

Go get um in the state Tournament!
