Volunteers turn out in force in support of Kahauiki Village

Dec 10, 2017 | PC Community

Community and local business volunteers continued their support of Kahauiki Village by lending a hand to help clean floors, wipe windows, and clean exterior pathways on Saturday, December 9, 2017

Kahauiki Village, which is located on Nimitz Highway near Sand Island, will soon be home to 150 homeless families on Oahu. The first 30 families are projected to move into the village in January 2018,

Volunteers are working in two shifts on Saturdays and Sunday's through January to get the homes ready for occupancy.

It's a great feeling to have the opportunity to be at Kahauiki Village on Saturday's, along with Mary, and be a part of a very special place as it transforms into a neighborhood and home to so many very deserving and currently homeless men, women and children.
