On Friday, January 26, I got the opportunity to represent the Pearl City Shopping Center / MyPearlCity.com, along with Sheri Rolf and Maribel Carvalho, as we presented a $750.00 check to Reid Shigemasa, Pearl City High School Athletics Director, and Steve Stinefelt, PCHS Assistant Track Coach.

Friday's check donation is in support of the Chargers track team purchasing new track uniforms for the sprinting athletes. The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association is a dedicated financial contributor to Pearl City High School with annual donations to the PCHS Athletic Department, PCHS Project Grad, and PCHS Band Program.

"The Pearl City High School Track & Field team would like to thank  the merchants of the Pearl City Shopping Center for their generous donation of $750," said Coach Stinefelt.  "That money will be used as part of our purchase of new competition uniform shorts.  This season, our boys sprint team team will be sporting tight, mid-thigh length, compression-style shorts that are currently favored by elite level sprinters worldwide.  Thanks Pearl City Shopping Center!"

GO CHARGERS!
